“Morning has Broken”            Michael Higgins

Introit   “Lord, Jesus Christ, Be Present Now”   arr. Hal H. Hopson

Prayer of Approach

Holy One, be silent with us in this hour,  so that we may feel your presence.  Prophetic Voice, speak your call,  so that we will know your direction for our life. Source of Vision, open our eyes and hearts,  so that we are inspired to trust you completely.      Amen.

Hymn VU #415   “God, We Praise You for the Morning”   DICKEY

Prayer of Confession

Life-giving God, we don’t always recognize the  sound of your voice calling our name.  We find it  hard to believe that you would take the time to speak directly to us.  Yet you are patient with us, calling again and again. You use others to help us             perceive your voice.  Help us to listen more openly and to discern when we hear you speaking.  Amen.
